Transportation Leader
Reporting to : Supply Chain DirectorDefine the strategy for shipments, deliveries and carries for all customers and suppliers, according to the objectives and budget defined for the area.Be part of the continuous improvement of the whole transportation process and the interaction with the rest of the areas, so we can guarantee a high level of service for our customers.  Trying to reach new and better goals in our KPI’s.Follow the policies of the company (compliance), also follow the laws and government requirements related to the areaMAIN RESPONSABILITIESMake the projection of the shipping plan for the year and give tracking to the facing in a monthly basis.Development, implementation and continuous improvement of the main KPI’s for the area.Optimization of the resources and cost of the area, using the insides given by the main indicators.Negotiation with the carries and main suppliers of the area.Build the annual budget for the area, and keep the tracking in a monthly basis (raise any important risk)Continuous evaluation of the suppliers in order to improve the service level.Projects of continuous improvement for the area. Analysis, evaluation and development of new projects for continuous improvement in order to have a sustainable growth.Audit the processes in the area to ensure that everything is working according to the standards, policies and laws.Control of the cost and expenses in the area, approve and audit the payment flow. Conciliation of the budget vs expenses with the audit of our DC Controller.Review and apply all protocols of safety and security in the area.Visits to our main customers (with more volume or potencial), understand the necessities and follow up the actions plans after the meetings.Ensure the compliance all over the operation and raise any risk related.KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCEAdministration or Engineering Degree.Master or certification in logistics or transportation.Knowledge in Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing.English (advance)Leadership and skills for development of the area.5 years of experience in a similar position, giving service to all sales channels (departamental, retail, specialist, ecommerce, etc).Solid Knowledge of the supply chain operation.Decision maker.Good communication skills.Manage  Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.Knowledge of TMS, WMS, SAP and similars.Flexibility (Working days and hours).Other knowledgeDevelop, implementation and continuous improvement of KPI’s.Analysis and manage of data base.Technology resources (MS Office, laptops, scanners, copy center, etc).ExcelKnowledge of the government requirements related to the transportation area.Knowledge of the outbound process between customer and supplier.Experience with carriers and outbound suppliers.Experience in DC operations (3PL and own operation).
