Transportation Manager, Amazon Brazil Transportation
Description As a Transportation Manager, you'll be at the forefront of shaping Amazon's First Mile Operations, and the Transportation teams. You'll manage a wide range of programs including: Seller's pickups, Seller's Self Deliveries, Direct Fulfillment, Vendor Flex and Ship with Amazon, encompassing both Amazon's own pickup operations and 3P carrier nationwide. This role will serve as a critical liaison between Business, Seller Operations, and Transportation teams, reporting directly to the First Mile Sr. Leader. Your strategic vision and operational expertise will drive structural and design changes, ensuring scalable and sustainable growth while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality and positioning Brazil as the World Wide Best Amazon benchmark for first-mile excellence. Key job responsibilities As First Mile Manager, we expect that you will be able to: • Be comfortable in different roles, sometimes supporting, sometimes leading, and has the ability to “roll up their sleeves” and jump in if needed. • Write strategic documents that clearly communicate transportation vision to senior leadership; • Identify process gaps through deep dive of metrics and make operational improvements; • Streamline the collection processes from Sellers and procedures to control pickup; experience; • Develop and implement ideas to drive continuous improvement by simplifying the process, creating additional value and reducing the costs; • Drive high-impact and high-visibility solutions by partnering with multiple stakeholder teams to shape network strategy; • Lead and compile Strategic Sales and Operation plan document which requires strong ability to discuss and organize multiples teams ideas, numbers and visions; • Create complex scenarios and analyze trade-off decisions to ensure the best outcome in long term, considering costs, tax/profitability, speed, capacity/investments (cash flow) and transportation network plan; • Identify opportunities and influence organizations to gain support and overcome resistance with data and persuasion; • Drive the capacity control and forecast systems configuration, assuring Brazil needs and requirements. Basic Qualifications - 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience - 3+ years of writing SQL queries and creating business intelligence reports using Tableau, Power BI experience - Bachelor's degree - Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights - Experience with Excel - Experience with SQL - Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders.
