ATS (Amazon Transportation Services) is seeking a Transportation Execution Manager to help develop a world class logistics process that delivers goods on time at the best cost. Our team objective is to manage to excellence freight execution flowing through our transportation networks, specifically focused on transportation carrier management, development, quality and performance.
This role requires an ambitious individual. You’ll represent a critical function within our wider Amazon Transportation Operations, as we work to continuously improve the service levels, capacities and costs of the Amazon Brazil Transportation Line Haul. This will help us ensure promises to our valued customers are being fulfilled each and every time.
Your Responsibilities:
• Transportation carrier performance management, such as on-time truck performance, linehaul impact to customer experience, etc.
• Identify and develop appropriate performance metrics for each program and ensure consistent measurement and accountability. Pulling data from numerous databases (using Excel, Access, SQL and/or other data management systems) and performing ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed; Create new and track existing metrics to detect & remove any defects;
• Continual, tactical communication with external customers (Carriers) and internal customers (Fulfillment Centers, Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, Amazon Logistics);
• Systematically escalate problems or variance in the information and data to the relevant owners and teams and follow through on the resolutions to ensure they are delivered;
• Design short/medium-term solutions to improve performance and quality of the operations;
• Continuous Improvement Management with carriers, focused in development of larger and more complex players to ensure they will be able to meet demand. Optimizes procedures, process, and best practices.
• Handles difficult problems/efforts, mitigating immediate risks but working. Decides if they can handle or need to escalate. Makes trade-offs: time vs. quality vs. resources.
• Analyze existing trucking capacity versus forecasted capacity requirements, particularly with the view of supporting seasonal peak times of year; Work to develop medium-term capacity with carriers;
• Analyze and improve network design in partnership with Supply Chain teams to meet best in class cost and customer experience results;
• Ensure right business metrics are prepared for and participate in regular Operations calls, business reviews, MBRs, etc.
• Participate in the preparation of strategic documents of ATS area;
Basic qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, with an excellent academic record, focusing on the following disciplines: Logistics, Supply Chain, Mathematics, Science or Engineering,
• You’re organized, with the ability to prepare, report on and interpret large sets of data,
• You’re proficient in Advanced Excel (including Pivot Tables, VLookUps),
• Fluent English, both spoken and written;
• You’re an excellent team player and communicator–at varying levels of seniority within an organization–with strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills to back this up,
• You have significant previous work experience in a fast-moving Operations, Supply Chain, Logistics and/or Ecommerce environment,
• Significant work experience in operations/supply chain/logistics/e-commerce is a plus,
• You’re highly PC literate in using Microsoft Office programs, including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Word, alongside Data-warehouse analysis.
• You possess solid analytical skills and capabilities.

You’ll understand the unique challenges of the transportation team and manage them collaboratively with other cross-functional teams. Your motivation and commitment to our customers will ensure that our response to delivery issues is timely and efficient. You will be required to make real-time decisions effectively, by doing your research, weighing up your options and learning as you progress. The result of your work will be the timely delivery of Amazon packages to millions of customers around the country.
