The Transportation Manager supervises daily transportation activities and personnel to ensure functions are performed according to our standards and guidelines.

 

You will work from Monday - Friday from 8 am to 8 pm with the ability to be flexible on work hours/shifts.

Salary: $90,000 - $110,000/year.

Responsibilities

You will:

Manage all aspects of payroll TimecardsUpdate Drivers' schedules in ADPCreate and maintain driver Qualification filesCollect drivers' lunch logs and enter times into ADPEnsure compliance with the Department of Transportation, California Highway Patrol, and Federal Motor Carrier Safety AdministrationEnter Injury Reports in KPAManages Department of Transportation and California Highway Patrol auditsInterview potential candidatesEnsure safety compliance and drive safety excellenceDrive employee performance – maintain average stop timeAdhere and enforce company policiesThe position requires strong attention to detail and process skillsManager yearly performance reviewsEstablish delivery routes that are cost-effective and compliant with Federal DOT guidelines, while still maintaining an acceptable level of customer service, quality, and satisfaction.Utilize Roadnet application to ensure delivery costs are held to company-expected run rates year over year. Establish routing procedures and schedules that allow for the optimum use of personnel and equipment while keeping a strong emphasis on driver safety. Perform Roadnet application routing maintenance daily to ensure all locations have accurate, timely, and up-to-date information. Standard Routes and Customer Delivery Requirements: Geo-Coding, delivery days, time windows, service time types, service time overrides, account types, meal beaks Route start times, pre/post trips, starting/ending depot, travel modes, color for mapping, assigned driver, equipment and DOT road checks Plan maintenance of equipment with regards to costing, restrictions, and capacities Perform and provide costing, off-days, maintenance, scorecard, customer and KPI reporting on scheduled intervals. Perform a recap of the previous days actual routing results; make necessary changes/adjustments to the standard routes, if necessary. Cultivate strong relationships with the drivers and customers to reduce the stress that comes with last-minute changes, such as schedulingPerforms other related duties as assigned. Qualifications

You have:

CDL License is required High School diploma/GED or equivalent experienceDriver qualification file compliance2 to 3 years of distribution, logistics, transportation, or related work experienceBasic computer skills and MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); knowledge of RoadNet routing software a plusStrong attention to detail with demonstrated organizational and process skills
