Position Summary: 

As a Dedicated Transportation Manager for A. Duie Pyle, you will be tasked with managing the customer account, hiring drivers, and developing a full-service solution. Our Dedicated Division offers any customer a unique regional truckload alternative, helping businesses navigate, and reach their supply chain goals.

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

Coordinating and managing scheduling for a dedicated customer Being available and on call for Pyle driver and customer needs Building and mentoring the 24/7 leadership team – taking a group of individual leaders and turning them into a team that supports each other and the company Reacting and pivoting as situations change, equipment breakdowns, call offs, customer surges Having an onsite presence at the customer’s location(s) – schedule weekly meetings/calls with the transportation team to go over any issues that happened at a customer site, making deliveries or upcoming holiday spikes – Store visits to establish relationships at the site level.  This will help build and develop a strong relationship with the customer team and the retail field locations Work with the sister location in Pottsville, align with, utilize and promote any synergies to help make us more ingrained in the customers supply chain Partnering with internal Pyle recruiting and HR to ensure that we are staffed properly to meet the customer’s needs  

To be qualified for this position, you must possess the following:

Previous transportation management experience for a medium/large dedicated customer Carrier or customer experience with Refrigerated deliveries and protocols Experience with load planning and driver management in a 24/7 environment Proficiency with computers, including MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PPT, Outlook, etc.) Ability to be on-call during driver work hours Understanding and knowledge of DOT regulations Effective communication and customer service skills with the ability to represent the Company in a positive, professional manner Strong organizational/planning skills   P&L and forecasting experience
