**Position Overview** Operations Analysts are responsible for daily execution to drive net income as well as service for C&S operations. The Operations Analyst coordinates and executes timely tendering of freight while managing capacities and on-time pick-up and delivery of up to 50% of total C&S freight, with a focus on revenue and expense. This position requires development and maintenance of strong working relationships with manufacturers, carriers, Procurement, Merchandising, Warehousing, National Logistics Team and other internal partners. **Job Description** **Description** + Financial: Analyze individual lanes and determine which carrier is best utilized on each lane. Their decision directly impacts net margin as well as overall service to C&S and our customers. Operations Analyst's develop action plans for under-performing lanes, coaching and developing as needed. + Financial: Responsible for lane-level profitability. They are constantly reviewing low and under-performing lanes and negotiating with vendors and carriers, ensuring inbound lanes are as profitable as possible. + Carrier Management: Responsible for sourcing, developing and maintaining relationships with regional and national carriers, leveraging this relationship to ensure the profitable, timely delivery of freight. + Carrier Management: Responsible for maintaining Fleet and 3rd Party carrier pools at shippers and C&S DC's, as well as investigate and process accessorial fees using reporting and analytics. + Operational Execution: Make improvements on service-related issues and headwinds in partnership with all relevant parties, i.e. Procurement, Warehousing, Regional Fleet Transportation Teams, Customer Experience Team, National Logistics Team. + Operational Execution: Tender freight to carriers based on greatest financial impact to C&S as well as overall carrier service, ensuring efficient operational execution impacting Warehousing, Procurement and C&S customer base. + Travel Required:No **Environment** + Office : Office Temperature (65F to 75F) **Skills** + Specialized Knowledge : Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Gmail + Special Skills : Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment, attention to detail and analytical. + Physical abilities: : + Other: : Sound statistical acumen, interpretation, and analytical ability. + Other: : Professional verbal and written communication skills. + Other: : Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. + Other: : Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize. **Years Of Experience** + 2-5 : Experience working as a team in Supply Chain + 0-2 : Relevant experience **Qualifications** Bachelor's Degree - General Studies, General Equivalency Diploma - General Studies, High School Diploma - General Studies **Shift** 1st Shift (United States of America) **Company** C&S Wholesale Grocers, LLC **About Our Company** C&S Wholesale Grocers, LLC is an industry leader in supply chain solutions and wholesale grocery supply in the United States.
