supporting Transportation operations by processing inbound purchase orders (POs) and assigning them to the appropriate store delivery trip assigning backhaul POs to outbound trips and creating backhaul appointments (vendor to Publix) in a time-sensitive manner to ensure that product is picked up by our Publix drivers in time to make scheduled deliveries into our Publix warehouses reviewing and updating planned driver schedulingreviewing and approving each Transportation Management System (TMS) load consolidation and routing session to validate session content and route accuracymanaging and maintaining all department and regulatory compliance related documentationproviding support and back-up duties of administrative and system support tasks in the department, including return centers for small Transportation Operation locations editing and verifying all Driver Trip Sheets to ensure information is recorded properly and Publix truck drivers are accurately compensated for their work reviewing the planned daily scheduling of delivery and pickup schedules to identify opportunities such as missing orders, inefficient routes, special delivery needs, temporary road closures, local events, etc.the responsibilities listed on this posting are not intended to be all-inclusive and additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
