YOUR ROLE

The Transportation Planner is a pivotal role within the Supply Chain. Planners will be responsible for running their own business with a specified carrier portfolio, managing day to day operations, and driving continuous improvement activities. This includes all service-related metrics and financial related activities. COVID pandemic placed a revolutionary spotlight on the transportation and logistics industry. Day to day responsibilities will include partnering with our carrier base and internal stakeholders to deliver optimal cost and service for the organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The Transportation Planner will be assigned select carrier and facility locations to manage day to day:

Manage Transportation Management System (TMS) and resolve technical issues with internal and external parties. Ensure that carriers are adhering to contractual commitments • Lead resolution on operational/tactical scheduling, pick-up and delivery issues. Serve as the cross-functional leader for carrier and Henkel shipping point engagement Manage scorecard meetings with carriers and communicate performance. Ensure that key KPIs are meeting standards & hold carriers accountable through action plan process  Utilize reporting tools in data analysis.  Create new standard operating procedures where appropriate. Collaborate with Procurement, Customer Excellence and Warehouse teams to ensure right carrier mix to maximize service. YOUR SKILLS Bachelor's degree required - Supply Chain degree strongly preferred 1-2 years previous logistics experience TMS and/or WMS experience preferred. Experience with the following tools preferred (excel, access, Power BI, OTM, SAP, PowerPoint). Strong written and verbal communication skills required Strong analytical skills for KPI trends, data comparisons, report creation, and troubleshooting

The salary for this role is $75,000.00 - $90,000.00. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position.  We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range. This salary range may also be modified in the future.
