Transportation Planning & Execution Senior Associate with German

Role Overview The key purpose of this role is to handle transportation planning and execution tasks. Job holder will collaborate and work in partnership with Supply Chain Planning, Customer Service, Warehousing, other Transporation peers, Master Data teams and Carriers in order to enable them to deliver Customer Service Level and Holistic Cost Management. Responsibilities Create domestic primary logistics transportation plan; Transfer shipments to other systems, e.g. ERP/ WMS; Communicate with other departments about any issues (e.g. unloading schedule, prioritizing, delays at customers warehouse, etc.); Manage exceptions (e.g. 24h delivery orders, SPOT, slot booking for dedicated trucks, etc.); Receive feedback from carriers, analyzing acceptance; Run the transportation optimization (FTL, LTL, RT, Dedicated trucks, 24h del., combined loads, returns, etc.); Analyze the outputs from the optimization (e.g. combination of loads, truck utilization, max number of stops, lightweight trailers utilization); Receive daily feedback about delays/risks from the previous day and identify solutions; Perform other domestic planning activities (e.g. projects, daily monitoring of kilometers traveled by dedicated trucks, daily/ad-hoc reports/analyzes; Create International logistics transportation plan; Manage exceptions (e.g. 24h delivery orders, SPOT, slot booking for dedicated trucks, etc.); Communicate with other departments; Book slot and capacity in the warehouse – Domestic; Provide relevant transportation information to warehousing for slot booking and capacity planning; Manage issues and refusals; Input costs into the system, including claims management; Inform the carrier; Align with customer service and Transportation Planning team to discuss mitigation actions; Support for any issues (returns, refusals) and communicate cost adjustments (additional stop, returns with cost involvement etc.) to the planner; Receive information about refusal orders (order refused after reaching customer premise) and inform other teams (e.g. warehouse and customer service). Qualifications Relevant university degree would be an asset; At least 1 year of experience in a similar position (preferably FMCG); Knowledge of European rules and regulations for drivers and vehicles (preferrable); Awareness of Lean principles would be an asset; Fluent oral and written communication skills, both in English and German; Problem solving skills; Experience in Transportation Management System and SAP usage would be an asset; Good numeric abilities; Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office tools: Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint; Action-orientated, demonstrating a drive for results and a passion for issue resolution; Ability to work in a pressurised and changing work environment.
