**Your Opportunity**
Stantec is seeking one or more creative and motivated interns to support our Multimodal Planning Group in Raleigh, North Carolina. Preferred candidates will have a passion for transportation planning with a background in planning, engineering, landscape architecture, or urban design. Candidates must be willing to travel and ideally have a valid driver’s license.
The ideal candidate will be experienced or interested in the development of client-facing materials, facilitating meetings, and management of internal resources. Technical experience with at least one of these key software programs is also a requirement: ArcGIS, Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD, MicroStation, and/or SketchUp. Above all, the successful candidate will be organized, self-motivated and curious, have a friendly, professional demeanor, and be able to multitask, ask questions, and learn from feedback. Position(s) will be full-time during the summer months, and flexible for part-time work during school semester(s).
**Your Key Responsibilities May Include**
+ Technical writing, and summary of project-record notes/files
+ Tabular data analysis and summary reporting
+ Map creation or data analysis with ArcGIS Desktop and ArcGIS Online
+ Conceptual site design and graphics development with Adobe Illustrator
+ Report editing in Adobe InDesign
+ Assist in the development of system-level transportation plans, or corridor studies
+ Assist with facilitation of public outreach events
+ Assist with entry level planning &/or design duties, as needed
**Qualifications**

+ Self-motivated and highly organized
+ Strong oral and written communication skills
+ Comprehensive approach to challenges and problem-solving
+ Adaptive to new software programs and web platforms
+ Strong research skills and open to feedback
+ Experience with ArcGIS Desktop, AutoCAD, &/or Microstation software
+ Experience with Adobe Creative Suite software such as Photoshop, InDesign, &/or Illustrator
**Education and Experience**
College course work in Planning, Design, or Engineering program working towards a bachelor’s or master’s degree. Transportation concentration or strong interest in transportation planning is preferred.
Flexible remote or office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
