Primary responsibilities include assuring the proper scheduling and dispatch of delivery associates within the Transportation Department

\n

Essential Duties:

\n\nRoute daily routes in Roadnet \nKeep all customer maintenance updated in the Sales Tools and Roadnet \nMaintain routes, equipment and drivers in Dispatch Software \nMaintain special instructions and key assignments \nAssign equipment according to factors such as length of trip, cube, and route equipment \nHandle all special request or changes specified through proper channels \nBuild maintain and monitor weekly driver schedules including time off and seasonal route coverage \nProvide detailed new customer routing including delivery days order cutoff and delivery times \nPost and awards open bids \nSets up routes bags and customer keys \nCoordinates with drivers, dispatcher and warehouse management team to ensure on time dispatches \nProvides effective feedback to associates and management using detailed written and oral communications. \nMaintains a good relationship with sales force and customers. \nAssures compliance with all safety procedures, company policies and DOT laws \nTracks and records vehicle maintenance records in dispatch software \nTracks and reports daily equipment assignments \nTracks, reports, and schedule coverage drivers with scheduled and unscheduled time off \nTracks DOT hours of service and communicates issues \nCreate DOT discipline based on policy\n\n

Qualifications:

\n\nMust have a High School diploma or GED; and 3 months of related experience \nMust be proficient in Microsoft Office and basic use of a desktop PC Licenses or Certifications required or preferred \nBasic knowledge of DOT laws governing hours of service for CDL drivers Leadership experience \nMust be flexible and willing to work the demands of the department which may be subject to evenings, weekends and holidays\n\n
