As the Transportation Senior Analyst for Middle Mile, you’ll support Best Buy through the coordination of freight movements and the associated analytics.  You’ll be responsible for the transportation of freight from Best Buy distribution centers to Best Buy stores and the reverse flows from stores to distribution centers. You’ll also oversee metrics, key performance indicators and carrier performance management.

This role is remote eligible, which means you would work virtually from home or another non-Best Buy location.

What you’ll do

•    Support Best Buy’s Middle Mile transportation program with a focus on continuous improvement of speed, spend and service
•    Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as distribution operations, retail, demand planning and transportation carriers
•    Monitor the financial performance of the Middle Mile operations freight budget 
•    Use data-based metrics to drive operational improvement 
•    Use the Transportation Management System (TMS) to manage daily operations and perform analytics to drive improvements
•    Support holiday peak traffic strategy, planning and execution with internal and external stakeholders 

Basic qualifications

•    3 years of experience in transportation, logistics, supply chain or related area 
•    Strong business and financial acumen 
•    Previous experience with Microsoft Office including intermediate to advanced level with Excel
•    Strong written and verbal communication skills 
•    Analytical problem-solving experience 
•    Understanding of retail and supply chain industries

Preferred qualifications

•    Associate or bachelor’s degree
•    Knowledge of omnichannel retail industry
•    Previous experience utilizing PowerBI
