SUMMARY
The Transportation Supervisor is responsible for transporting our highest VIP guests including Executive VIPs, Casino VIPs and Meeting and Convention VIPs both to and from the airport and regionally. In this role they are also in charge of the Transportation department day to day operations and coordination of all VIP runs. The Transportation Supervisor must be able to drive CDL and Non CDL vehicles for short and long distances (2+ hours).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Ensure all VIP runs are coordinated and executed in a timely manner either via yourself, the bell team or a shuttle driver
· Create weekly schedules to be approved by Front Services manager, input in Unifocus
· Do time edits for transportation department
· Develop and maintain third party GPS system analytics, reporting all issues/occurrences to Front Services manager
· Conduct monthly shops on all shuttle drivers ensuring they are hitting our Grand service standards
· Prepare and present to Front Service manager any coaching for a Team Member
· Train all new hires on the handling of the Fleet, upkeep, care, inspections and general safety
· Assist in inputting POs for transportation fleet vehicles
· Maintain proper business attire and provide proper professional customer service etiquette for entering & exiting the vehicle, inclement weather, and assisting with luggage
· Must be knowledgeable of Limousine functions, maintenance, and safety including the proper procedures for handling, temperature control, and checking and maintaining fuel/fluid levels, etc.
· Must be knowledgeable of CDL Shuttle functions, maintenance, and safety including the proper procedures for handling, temperature control, and checking and maintaining fuel/fluid levels, etc.
· Responsible for keeping fleet stocked with appropriate beverages
· Responsible for the proper cleanliness of any vehicle being used before it leaves the property, ensuring it meets the GSR standards for cleanliness
· Educate guests with regards to local information, property information and city-wide event information
· Maintains a high level of discretion and confidentiality regarding the identity and requests of all passengers.
· Must operate any vehicle in accordance with all laws and regulations while following GSR’s policies to ensure a safe and pleasant operating environment.
· Occasionally fill in the capacity of Shuttle Driver for our hotel guests to and from the airport
QUALIFICATIONS
2 plus years previous transportation experience required in both shuttles and luxury vehicles
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Excellent communication skills both written and oral. Fluent in English language. Must possess interpersonal skills to deal effectively with business contacts and Team Members at all levels of the company. Must possess a strong attention to detail and presentation skills.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions through decisive judgment. Ability to interpret and follow through on a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATION
Must obtain and maintain Alcohol Awareness Card. Commercial Driver License (CDL) is required for this position and have the ability to drive a commercial motor vehicle with more than 16 passengers. Must produce driving record from DMV bi-annually to present to management to remain in position.
