Summary:

The Transportation Supervisor helps ensure we are providing exceptional service to all guests using our transportation services. This position helps facilitate a strong and effective line of communication between shuttle drivers and hotel operations staff.  The Transportation Supervisor maintains a high standard of integrity, service, and hospitality at all times to promote the Drury culture with guests and team members. Under general supervision, the Transportation Supervisor assists the management team with supervising the transportation operations / positions of the hotel.

The Transportation Supervisor ensures Drury Hotels’ policies and procedures are consistently communicated and followed at all times. This team member maintains a high standard of integrity, provides motivation and demonstrates positive leadership characteristics which inspire team members to exceed expectations through superior customer service and safety standards.  This role assists with training transportation team members.

The supervisor responds promptly and efficiently to inquiries, requests and complaints with a +1 Service Attitude. This role contributes to maintaining a positive work environment at all times for our diverse team and guests. 

Qualifications:

Requires ability to speak and take written and verbal direction in English.

Requires the ability to relate to the public and team members in a warm, friendly manner.

Requires the ability to pay attention to detail. 

Must be willing to and have the ability to work alone as scheduled.

Performs duties of shuttle driver, manager on duty, or other positions as needed.

Monitors vehicles, loading / unloading areas, parking bays, and team member work habits to ensure a safe / secure environment for team members and guests; observes and corrects unsafe conditions. 

Experience in working with the public in a service industry or in related activities is preferred.

Requires the ability to keep accurate, legible, and complete timesheets and expense reports on a biweekly basis.

Requires a High School Diploma or GED equivalency.

Required Department of Transportation Compliance

The Shuttle Driver is required to follow all the regulations set up by the Department of Transportation (DOT) to include but not exclusive of:

Requires Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).

Maintains compliance with the Federal Hands-free Driving Regulation.

Maintains Drivers E-Logs according to I.C.C./FMCSA regulations.

Completes a Bi-Annual DOT Physical.

Maintains a current CDL license with passenger endorsement.

Applies knowledge of commercial driving regulations while transporting guests in a safe, courteous and professional manner.
