The primary responsibilities include managing data requests for internal customers and from freight carriers. Additionally, the Transportation Support Analyst will support freight payment updates, corrections, and coding for proper reporting. The incumbent will perform daily tasks to collect, compile and organize data to allow for the creation of timely and accurate reporting of needed scorecard(s). The incumbent will help maintain freight data requirements within the SAP system. The incumbent will fulfill rating requests required for prepaid and add customers. The incumbent will perform workflow coding and approvals.
Responsibilities
Monitoring and maintaining data within SAP maintenance of data tables to comply with business rules. Providing rate quotes to the business teams for analysis, spot rates, prepaid and add shipments, etc; organize CPU requests and maintenance; Support shipment costing error resolution Responsible for updating freight workflow data requirements; creating matching orders for invoice; support invoice error resolution and GL coding requirements. Receive requests and action order and shipments inquires that need to be synchronized between the SAP and Transplace TMS solutions. Work with internal partners to ensure invoices are coded to proper accounts and freight invoices are following the standard process Directly impacts transportation costs, Customer Service Invoicing, Carrier/Vendor Payment Impacts North America sites / customer Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively and cross functionally with all levels of plant hierarchy.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Supply Chain/Logistics/Purchasing or related field 1 year experience in Supply Chain (Transportation Preferred), accounting or finance role. Fluency in English is required Basic understanding of how own area integrates with other areas and co-ordinates to contribute to the achievement of goals. Prefered knowledge of transportation / logistics Uses judgement based on the analysis of best information availble at the time. Requires attention to detail when reviewing and approving invoices for payment. Expected to root cause and correct or devise a solution when non-standard processes occur. Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively and cross functionally with all levels of plant hierarchy. The candidate must exhibit exceptional PC software skills, including proficiency with MS Office Professional and SAP. Experience with an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System (i.e. SAP, Oracle, etc.) preferred.#LI-VR1
