We are seeking a Transportation Systems Engineer responsible for leading and supporting projects tasks in a dynamic team atmosphere, ensuring delivery of accurate, timely, and high-quality products and services within our Transportation practice.

The successful candidate will have experience in one or more of the following areas:

Transportation data related to transit, freight and/or passenger travel and traffic flow with ability to conduct complex data analysis and visualizationEmerging transportation technologiesTransportation economic analysis and/or asset management concepts, including cost estimates, risk assessment, benefit-cost analysis, and system condition and performance assessmentTransportation system management and operations (TSMO) concepts, including but not limited to Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), Integrated Corridor Management (ICM), and/or Active Transportation and Demand Management (ATDM), and reliability issuesSystems engineering processes for transportation technology development with experience in developing Concept of Operations, system requirement specifications, and test plans

The candidate will work directly with clients and senior staff, as well as internal and external experts in their field of expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

We are seeking a Transportation Systems Engineer who will be capable of fulfilling the following key responsibilities:

Contributing to the development of innovative, accurate, timely, and high-quality products and services, typically working on multiple projects with all levels of staff.Support Transportation Systems and Operations activities including the development of concept plans and systems engineering documents for deploying intelligent transportation systems.Conduct research and analyze existing transportation technology systems.Interact and communicate with clients and industry deployers. Develop technical reports and industry guidance.Managing task or project schedules, budgets, and quality of work.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in transportation/civil engineering, or related subjects and field1-3 years of experience in transportation engineering, transportation data analysis & visualization, transportation system management, and emerging transportation technologies.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

Master's degree in transportation engineering, systems engineering or planning OR equivalent demonstrated work experience.Experience conducting transportation projects for state and local transportation agencies.

Professional Skills:

Expands personal expertise through self-guided research. Apply research concepts to emerging practices.Understands task expectations and how tasks fit in the overall project.Works collaboratively with project teams and clients to achieve established goals.Identifies and meets the needs of clients within established guidelines.Ability to work on multiple projects under strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.

The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:

$73,722.00 - $125,327.00
