Transportation Technical Marketer (m/f/d)

Join the forefront of innovation in the Transportation Business Unit (TBU) as a Technical Marketing Manager (m/f/d), leading the charge in developing and driving the go-to-market strategy for NI's Electric Vehicle (EV) test solutions. As a Technical Marketing Manager, you will be at the heart of driving strategic marketing planning, business and project management, and marketing execution, directly influencing market perception, creating demand, and fostering business growth within the EV market segment. Your technical skills and industry-aligned subject matter expertise will be key to your success, enabling you to craft compelling marketing strategies and messaging and deliver impactful content that resonates with customers' needs. 

Working in close collaboration with the sales team, you will be instrumental in creating demand and driving business expansion. Your innovative approach, organization, and strong work ethic will help bring new test solutions to the market, making a tangible impact on the EV industry. As a leader in this hybrid role based in Munich, Germany, you will support marketing activities at the new NI Munich Innovation Center in Munich, Germany, as well as our footprint of locations and industry events throughout the global automotive landscape, enhancing your visibility and influence in the field.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Develop deep knowledge of target application segment(s), including technical and business requirements, competitors, and key trends  Develop strong understanding of the target buyers within the target application segments, including their needs, challenges, and decision drivers  Work closely with Business Managers to launch new products and solutions  Create and deliver compelling technical content, marketing assets, and event experiences that leverage NI marketing campaigns and channels to influence market perception and customer decisions  Develop and implement a sales enablement plan, including the creation of sales training and sales enablement assets  Support customer engagements at the NI Michigan Innovation Center in Novi, Michigan, and other industry events across the region and other global transportation technology hubs  Build and manage strong relationships across key contacts both inside and outside NI to increase your effectiveness and influence in the role, including offering managers, business development, sales, R&D, partners, customers, and industry media  Work with the transportation-aligned global campaign team and other transportation marketing team members to monitor results, improve execution, and create strategic marketing plans 
    Who You Are: You understand internal and external stakeholder requirements, expectations, and needs. You readily learn and adopt new technologies. You effectively communicate in various settings: one-on-one, small and large groups, or among diverse styles and position levels.
 
    For This Role, You Will Need: Bachelor's degree in engineering field (or applicable experience)  Technical understanding of EV powertrain fundamentals including energy storage and power conversion  3-5+ years of experience in engineering, test, and/or sales/marketing roles  Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills in a global setting  Strong communication skills in English, including writing and presenting  Effective time management skills and strong work ethic  Based in Munich, Germany, able to work out of the metro Munich office in a hybrid role 
 
  Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart: Experience in the automotive industry or test and measurement industry  Experience with design, test, or operation of EV powertrain components and systems  Technical marketing experience – Field Marketing, Product Marketing, Solutions Marketing  Ability to travel 10% of the time, mostly in EMEA with occasional international travel  Demonstrating inclusive behavior in building relationships and understanding the value of Diversity
