Provides basic aspects of patient care patient mobility and maintenance of equipment under the direction of a Registered Nurse in a defined care team. Contributes to the delivery of patient focused care. **Essential Duties:** + Assists with cleaning of equipment and maintenance of department; may exchange oxygen tanks and/or attach IV’s to wheelchairs or gurneys as necessary. + Escorts patients at the time of discharge from their room to personal transportation. + Maintains a safe work and patient environment adhering to the hospital’s Safety Risk Management Regulatory Standards and infection prevention. + Provide Client and Patient Relations. + Performs basic life support gives assistance to medical staff during emergencies and may respond to hospital codes. + Performs basic patient care activities based on skill ability and limitations of scope of practice as directed by management and/or nursing staff. + Transports patients to and from nursing units and ancillary departments in a manner conducive to patient safety and comfort including special needs. **Qualifications** **Education/Experience:** + One year recent work-related work experience preferably in a hospital setting preferred. **License/Certification:** + Current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider certification. Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements. **Pay Range** $18.73 - $25.49 /hour We are an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
