Transporter – Part Time

Saturday/Sunday 7am -730pm

Job Description:

The transporter performs patient transport and other related duties in a timely manner. Assumes responsibility for designated area or procedures as requested. Recognizes the purpose or employment is to prioritize patient as number one and to put forth the utmost quality in duties performed as radiology transporters.

Job Duties:

Transport patients according to the designated method and adhering to scheduled times to and from diagnostic and treatment areas.Continually transfer patients safely and efficiently via wheelchair, moveable bed, or stretcher.Performing oxygen tank duties, cleaning and sterilization of the transport equipment as needed.Assists team with transition of the patient care area to facilitate efficient and safe throughput.Performs and documents safety checks on transport equipment.Adheres to employe health compliance policies.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalentMust obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) within three (3) months of hireAble to continuously perform physical demands of the position.Must be able to provide care to all age groups in scope of service.

Preferred Requirements

Recent experience in health care setting providing patient care.Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification, previous phlebotomy/point of care testing
