Trauma Registrar within our Trauma Department at Providence St. Mary Medical Center in Apple Valley, CA.  This is a full-time position that will work Monday-Friday (no weekends).

Responsible for maintaining the computerized trauma registry and compiling trauma patient charts for Queen of the Valley Medical Center in a manner consistent with the values of the St. Joseph's Health System. The trauma registrar reviews patient records in a responsible and ethical manner in order to accurately abstract and enter data into the trauma registry. The registrar also provides statistical reports from the trauma registry and supports the Emergency Services Nurse Manager and Trauma Coordinator as requested. Performs all duties under moderate supervision.

Required Qualifications:

1 year experience in a position that included extensive use of data entry and word processing systems to include Microsoft Word and Excel.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certified Trauma Registrar upon hire. Experience as a Trauma Registrar in an acute care hospital. Experience utilizing Trauma One software or similar registry database.
