Travel and Expense Manager for Europe
Your role and responsibilitiesIn this role you will be responsible to manage Travel and Expense (T&E) front office operations. You will have the possibility to work with all our service lines which gives you great exposure to the end-to-end process of the T&E function. Also the focus is on demand management, service level escalation, SLA governance, implementing services, solutions, and processes.You will act as single point of contact for all travel and expense related matters within Europe on the region assigned to you. The work model for the role is: hybrid #LI-hybridThis role is open globally, but location is set in ABB Offices in Southern Europe with a preference for Italy or Poland. You will be accountable for:Manage T&E Front Office operations within the region, and collaborate with T&E Operational teams, to ensure that we are providing compliant, easy and efficient Travel & Expense Management processes and services.Represent the T&E organization within the region towards ABB Business Areas and Functions as the face to the customer and maintain relevant governance structures.Ensure compliance with internal guidelines and procedures and support ABB Integrity teams on possible compliance cases.Manage Business Areas’ requirements by addressing new requests and changes.Manage escalations, issues, and complex cases in collaboration with T&E Operational teams.Track changes and create expertise on the legal environment and legislation in relation to T&E.Ensure consistency and alignment between business lines and within the country on policy and process implementation and compliance.Support on continuous improvement to drive efficiency, standardization & harmonization and supports the development of consistent processes. Oversee T&E process performance, analyze T&E data, to identify and propose improvements to internal and external stakeholders.Consult and communicate information regarding policies and standards on assigned processes to internal customers and end users as needed.Manage T&E projects and initiatives scope, timeline, resources, vendors, governance, and methodology.Liaise with Third Parties and support T&E Operational teams managing vendors.
Qualifications for the roleBachelor’s or higher degree in related field.3 to 5 years of experience in Travel and Expense. Experience as Project Manager, Change management, Internal control framework and Business Transformation is preferred.Fluent in English, knowledge of Italian language is an advantage.Ability to interact with different levels of employees and advanced communication skills in multicultural environment.Strong stakeholder management experience and ability to interact with different levels of stakeholders.Experience in identifying improvement opportunities and driving improvement projects with effective project management skills.Knowledge of implementing AI based tools is an advantage.Positive “can do” attitude, solution-focused approach, self-starter and hands-on working style.Ability to liaise with operational teams, translating complex problems into actionable operational functions.
