Travel Distribution Manager

The Travel Distribution Manager, UK will be reporting to the Senior Director Travel Distribution EMEA and will be based in the UK at our European head office in Uxbridge.
The primary mission of the Manager Travel Distribution UK function is to manage the relationships with the UK based TMC partners and travel agents and to manage the domestic and outbound business from the UK to all destinations globally. The following brands are included under the Manager’s responsibility – Hertz, Dollar and Thrifty.
What You’ll Do:
The Manager is responsible for building and maintaining excellent, multi-level relationships with the partners in the TMC and travel agent space. The primary goal for the Manager will be to manage across the many long-standing partner relationships to maximise the profitable revenue generation for Hertz The Manager also needs to have excellent, multi-level relationships internally across the Hertz business. This is true across the different departments, including, by not limited to Marketing, Revenue Management, Finance and Customer Service The Manager will support the Senior Director to develop the strategy for the UK source market. The Manager will then be responsible for delivery and the execution of the strategy for their area of responsibility The Manager will support the Senior Director in the development of the annual business plans, targets and objectives for the source UK market. The Manager will then be responsible for rolling these out for their area of responsibility, formulating clear account and partner business development and action plans. These plans will be developed to support the wider company’s growth and profit objectives The Manager will work with the Senior Director during the contracting process. This includes focus on improving the contribution and margin generated by the revenue of accounts. This is mainly achieved by managing tightly the commercial terms and cost of sale in the negotiated contracts The Manager will represent Hertz across the travel industry and ensure the company is well regarded so that it helps bring further revenue opportunities to the business. It will be important to build industry knowledge, expertise and relationships through forums such as trade shows, conferences, webinars and events. The role requires travel with overnight stays. As well as maximising the profitable revenue from the existing partners, the Manager should also identify potential new revenue partners or new revenue streams with existing partners The Manager should work with colleagues in the recipient regions (NAM, LAMC, APAC & EMEA) to ensure strategy of pricing and fleet are aligned and conducive to inbound business. This includes reviewing the rates and products available to our partners, making sure these are market competitive and give us the best opportunity of generating profitable revenue for the business Where relevant, the Manager should work closely with Marketing to develop detailed marketing, and promotion plans that can be activated by our partners The Manager should always be looking to improve business processes, reporting and streamlining distribution systems, looking for the lowest cost and most automated way of operating with our partners.
