Travel & Expense Specialist (m/f)

Job Description & Summary

Wonder what this position is about? Well, mostly about processing travel expenses of employees. Of course. But it’s not only about this.

It’s also about communicating with people, about checking and approving expense claims and about supporting PwC colleagues in preparation of valid expense reports. Moreover as a member of the SSC you will be working with other experienced practitioners across and outside of the CEE region.

Work in SSC is specific and different from work in other departments of PwC. It combines the advantages of working in a SSC and the unique environment of the largest consultancy network in the world.

Your resposibilities

Operational tasks:

review details of expense receipts in support of expense report submissions to ensure accuracy, authenticity, completeness, timeliness, appropriate itemization and eligibility of expenses based on established guidelines

review and approve employee expense reports and ensure adherence to internal travel policy, local VAT and wage TAX legislation

verify that all 3rd party invoices are accurate and have been properly coded and approved by the authorizing superior

check for discrepancies/errors, missing information and receipts and communicate them to the other party in a timely manner

follow up with employees regarding non-compliant expenses or missed deadlines

perform some accounting tasks related to exchange rate adjustments and reclassifications

participate on standardization and efficiency projects

other agreed accounting tasks per country specific requirements

Project tasks:

Active participation on smooth transfer of T&E activities from local site to SSC

Responsibility for stabilization of transferred activities

Preparation and regular update of working instructions

Personality requirements and skills

2+ years experience in T&E process or other relevant experience with accounting

undergraduate or graduate degree in finance or economics

good command of English (written and spoken - B2/C1) is a must

good command of German (written and spoken - B2) is advantage

knowledge of Concur and/or SAP Finance modules is advantage

proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

strong attention to detail, ability to analyze and spot errors

ability to work independently

Salary: starting from 1 600 €

Starting date: upon agreement
