Travel Insurance Business Analyst, Americas

About the role What you need to know: In this role, the Business Analyst supports the AIG Travel business and provides support to the travel program of Work in the Americas region. This person will identify, assess, research, and resolve complex issues related to needs of the Americas region program of work. The Business Analyst will be responsible for analyzing, understanding, and translating business need into business requirements user stories. They will participate in the elicitation and documentation of business requirements. They will collaborate with stakeholders and other IT members to ensure alignment of business need verses technical solution. The Business Analyst role includes but is not limited to: + Elicit, document, and analyze required information and data as it is introduced by the stakeholders. + Prepare requirements documentation/user stories, document current and proposed business processes, and recommendations related to proposed requests. + Receive and accurately apply comments and feedback to stakeholder groups + Understand and consistently apply the necessary project standards and standard operating procedures. + Prepare and present user stories for refinement and actively participate in all agile ceremonies. + Follow all Agile standards. + Prioritize multiple tasks effectively. + Consistently deliver high-quality service and value to stakeholders and team members. + Proactively identify and report on risks, issues, and dependencies for each project. + Understand and identify areas of opportunity and improvement within AIG Travel’s strategic direction, organizational structure, business processes, and initiative requirements. What we’re looking for: Experience + Bachelor’s degree in information technology or other technical degree preferred. + 3+ years progressive experience analyzing and solving business problems. + Familiarity with API tools and messages + Familiarity with the Travel Freedom Systems and Claims tools + Knowledge of travel industry. + Be self-empowered and know when to escalate issues appropriately. + Ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities. + Experience working in a multinational company with on and offshore resources and familiarity with complex integrated travel, payment and claims systems. + Exceptional analytical, interpersonal, and written/verbal communication skills as well as relationship management skills. + Ability to effectively collaborate and work with project team members and stakeholders located globally to ensure success of project. + Excellent organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet delivery deadlines. + Keep up to date on current technology and payment industry best practices and regulatory trends. + Knowledge and experience in Agile and Agile ceremonies. + Experience in creating user stories. #LI-AJ1 Enjoy benefits that take care of what matters At AIG, our people are our greatest asset.
