Position Description
The Long Term Care LPN assumes responsibility and accountability for the delivery of care for patients in a Long Term Care/Assisted Living Facility. The nurse demonstrates ability to make clinical judgments in an effective and efficient manner with supervision, as well as critical thinking and performance ability in the coordination of patient care. Additionally, this individual performs according to nursing standards and is accountable in managing patient care and assisting others in the management of patient care.

Requirements for LPNs/RNs - please confirm when locking down
1. Need to be proficient in PICC Lines/IVs
2. Need to be familiar with Wounds and Wound Vacs
3. Nurses may pass meds, but they have med aides for this majority of the time
4. Charting needs to be done for ALL items
5. Nurses need to be comfortable doing lots of evaluations/assessments for the skilled nursing residents. a lot of times these are done quarterly
Orientation will be very minimal. Will be given a tour of the building and brief overview.
3x12s, needing coverage on all days of the week - scheduler will aim to make the days consecutive but will prioritize the highest need days
