REGISTERED NURSE – NEONATAL INTENSIVE CARE UNIT/ICU

BONUS & TRAVEL STIPENDS:

This position includes a competitive bonus package and travel stipends to ensure a smooth and comfortable experience for our healthcare workers.

SITE OF SERVICE: 

The work to be performed under this contract will be at the United States Naval Hospital Guam and associated branch medical clinics within a 40-mile radius of their assigned MTF.

POSITION QUALIFICATION/REQUIREMENTS:

Degree: Associates Degree of Nursing.Education: Graduate from a college or university accredited by Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE)Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years as a RN in a NICU settingLicensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse.Certificate: MUST HAVE ALL:Possess and maintain certification in Basic Life Support (BLS). Possess and maintain certification in Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP). Possess and maintain a S.T.A.B.L.E Program Certifications.U.S. Citizenship: HCWs performing under this contract shall be U.S. citizens.English Language Requirement: Able to read, write, and speak English well enough to effectively communicate.Physical Capability: Shall be physically capable of standing and/or sitting for extended periods of time and physically capable of performing all services required under the contract.

 

Core Duties:

Coordinate patient care in collaboration with a wide array of healthcare professionals. Facilitate the achievement of optimal outcomes in relation to clinical care, quality and cost effectiveness.Ensure compliance with standards of care and practice in accordance with all established policies, procedures, and guidelines used in the MTF. Perform physical exam and health histories. Provide health promotions, counseling, and education. Administer medications, wound care, and numerous other personalized interventions. Direct and supervise care provide by other healthcare professionals. Accountable for making patient care assignments based on the scope of practice and skill level of assigned personnel.Recognize adverse signs and symptoms and quickly react in emergency situations.Communicate and collaborate with a diverse group of people for the purpose of informing the healthcare team of plans/actions, for teaching/education to benefit the patient/family and organization. Make referral appointments and arrange specialty care as appropriate.Perform nursing services identified in the TO.Conduct research in support of improved practice and patient outcomes

 

HOURS:

Services shall be provided Sunday through Saturday schedule is TBD

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS

Must be comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.  Must be able and willing to reprioritize on short notice and work on multiple simultaneous projects.  Flexible and able to work with various personalities.  Team work skills required. Time management skills required. The ability to meet deadlines in a deadline intensive environment is essential. High level of adaptability and willingness to embrace change in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
