Travel Senior Specialist role manages and optimizes the planning and organization of travel services for IB employees while ensuring compliance and fostering collaboration.
The role involves working closely with employees and suppliers, enhancing travel technologies, mentoring the team, and overseeing travel reports, expenses, and process improvements.
What will you work on?
Manage the process of planning and organizing transportation, accommodation, insurance, and other travel services for IB employees
Collaborate with employees to determine their needs and advise them on appropriate modes of transport, travel dates, costs, and accommodation
Collaborate and foster relationships with travel agencies and third-party suppliers
Monitor and advise on employee travel reports and process benefits
Coordinate and cooperate with other departments to ensure compliance in all aspects of travel procedures
Advise and monitor complaints or refunds
When necessary, pass on relevant information, brochures, and publications (guides, maps, regulations, etc.) to employees
Co-create technology enhancement to tools, reservation systems, and analytics
Work on upgrading employee travel reports and process benefits
Track travel expenses and expenses
Mentor and coach the team
What are the requirements for the position?
At least 3-5 years of experience in a travel-related role, preferably within the corporate travel or travel technology sector
Strong understanding of the travel industry, including trends, policies, and best practices
Strong technical skills, ability to use diverse travel management tools and software
Understanding of travel booking systems, ticketing, and related processes
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with clients, internal teams, and external partners
Proficiency in English
Highly resilient to change and adaptable to new situations
Ability to build and maintain strong and positive relationships with key stakeholders
Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot issues, optimize travel processes, and enhance customer experiences
A proactive approach to identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation
Ability to manage multiple activities and deadlines simultaneously
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to evolving technologies
Experience in working with international teams
A bachelor's degree in business, hospitality, tourism, or a related field is preferred
