Travel Specialist role manages and optimizes the planning and organization of travel services for IB employees while ensuring compliance and fostering collaboration. 

The role involves working closely with employees and suppliers, enhancing travel technologies, mentoring the team, and overseeing travel reports, expenses, and process improvements.

What will you work on?

Manage the process of planning and organizing transportation, accommodation, insurance, and other travel services for IB employeesCollaborate with employees to determine their needs and advise them on appropriate modes of transport, travel dates, costs, and accommodationCollaborate and foster relationships with travel agencies and third-party suppliersMonitor and advise on employee travel reports and process benefitsCoordinate and cooperate with other departments to ensure compliance in all aspects of travel proceduresAdvise and monitor complaints or refundsWhen necessary, pass on relevant information, brochures, and publications (guides, maps, regulations, etc.) to employeesCo-create technology enhancement to tools, reservation systems, and analyticsWork on upgrading employee travel reports and process benefitsTrack travel expenses and expensesMentor and coach the team


What are the requirements for the position?

At least 2 years of experience in a travel-related role, preferably within the corporate travel or travel technology sectorStrong understanding of the travel industry, including trends, policies, and best practicesStrong technical skills, ability to use diverse travel management tools and softwareUnderstanding of travel booking systems, ticketing, and related processesStrong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with clients, internal teams, and external partnersProficiency in EnglishHighly resilient to change and adaptable to new situationsAbility to build and maintain strong and positive relationships with key stakeholdersStrong analytical skills to troubleshoot issues, optimize travel processes, and enhance customer experiencesA proactive approach to identifying opportunities for improvement and innovationAbility to manage multiple activities and deadlines simultaneouslyAbility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to evolving technologiesExperience in working with international teamsA bachelor's degree in business, hospitality, tourism, or a related field is preferred
