**Hiring Traveling Generator Mechanics** Seeking a highly skilled Traveling Mechanic to conduct regular maintenance, inspection, and assembly of industrial equipment. This position is going to be at least a 12 month contract. **Locations:** + **West Texas** + **Utah** + **Wyoming** + **North Dakota** + **Colorado** **Pay: $25.00hr - $36.00hr + per diem (about $200 per day)** **Shift: 1st shift, Monday-Friday, 7:00AM-6:00PM** **Qualifications:** + Mechanical experience + Experience with diesel engines, heavy equipment, generators, and/or compressors + Troubleshooting and diagnostics experience + Electrical diagnostics experience + Computer literacy for record-keeping **Job Description:** + Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and assembly of industrial equipment. + Construct mechanical components according to detailed specifications. + Diagnose functionality issues by examining machines and conducting diagnostic tests. + Contribute to the development of maintenance plans, including upgrades and replacements. + Maintain accurate work logs, repair documentation, and maintenance records using computer systems. + Manage inventory and order new parts as necessary. + Evaluate equipment and machinery to identify and communicate current or potential issues to clients. + Stay informed about and adhere to safety policies, standards, and procedures. + Prioritize safety by reporting all incidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions to your supervisor immediately. **Work Site:** + Shop and Field positions available + Candidates traveling from out of state will receive per diem on top of an hourly wage ($166 - $247 for per diem depending on state/location) **Work Environment:** + Work includes a typical 70-hour period over 8 days when crossing state lines or driving + Shop hours from 7 am to 6 pm. + Field technicians are on call 24/7 + Overtime is expected, with a maximum of 6 - 12 hour shifts **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00 **About Aerotek:** We know that finding work is hard, and finding meaningful work is harder.
