Traveling Project Engineer
Key Responsibilities: Complete engineering projects by organizing and controlling project elements from start to finish. Develop clear project objectives by reviewing proposals, plans, and consulting with stakeholders and management. Determine project responsibilities by: Identifying project phases and deliverables. Assigning personnel to tasks. Evaluating bids from subcontractors and vendors. Review product design, customer requirements, and performance standards to define project specifications. Prepare technical studies and cost estimates. Confirm product performance through design reviews, analysis, and field testing. Establish and maintain project schedules by calculating time requirements and sequencing activities. Monitor and maintain schedule progress by coordinating tasks and resolving field-level issues. Control project execution by reviewing and adjusting designs, specifications, and work plans. Manage project costs by approving expenditures and overseeing contractor performance and compliance. Prepare regular project status reports with data analysis and actionable recommendations. Enforce site safety and cleanliness in compliance with company procedures and industry regulations. Maintain accurate digital project records and backups using internal software and database tools. Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, maintaining the company’s high-quality standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (project executives, project managers, general superintendents, and field supervisors) for smooth execution and knowledge transfer. Contribute to broader company goals by supporting team initiatives and project success metrics.
