Traveling Project Manager - Data Center

Job Title: Project Manager - Hyper-Scale Data Center Construction

Location: Traveling

Project Overview: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Project Manager to lead a hyper-scale Data Center construction project valued at approximately $5 billion with a capacity of 180 megawatts. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a groundbreaking initiative that will significantly enhance our digital infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the entire construction project lifecycle from initiation to completion, ensuring all project objectives are met.Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, construction, IT, and operations, to ensure seamless project execution.Oversee the implementation of innovative solutions to optimize energy efficiency and streamline construction processes.Conduct regular project status meetings and provide updates to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and effective communication.Manage project risks and develop mitigation strategies to address potential challenges.Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.Monitor project performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project outcomes.Direct, coordinate, and supervise on-site discipline superintendents, scheduling, engineering, cost control, material control, commercial management, and administrative staff[1].Enforce compliance with project procedures, safety program requirements, work rules, and client requirements[1].Develop and foster effective client and subcontractor relationships.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.Minimum of 6-9 years of experience in managing large-scale data center projects or similar complex infrastructure projects.Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.Strong leadership and collaboration skills, with the ability to manage cross-functional teams.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Proficiency in project management software and tools.Experience with Scrum/Agile methodologies is a plus.Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in managing hyperscale data center projects.Knowledge of Lean construction practices and critical path scheduling.Advanced proficiency in Primavera (P6) Software or equivalent.Relevant certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $130000.00 - $200000.00/yr.
