POSITION PURPOSE
As a Traveling Sales Specialist you will be a dynamic and results-oriented professional with proven experience promoting senior living communities to potential residents, families, and healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales, generating leads, establishing and maintaining relationships with prospective residents and their families while focusing on driving occupancy for each community. This role requires frequent travel to various communities.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Overall, the Traveling Sales Specialist’s responsibilities will be focused on the following:
Sales Support:
Serve as an interim sales leader for communities needing temporary support, such as during leadership transitions or new community openings.Sales & Business Development:
Actively prospect new leads and convert them into residents by conducting in-person visits, follow-ups, and outreach campaigns to local healthcare professionals, hospitals, social workers, and other referral sources.Community Outreach and Engagement:
Attend local events, health fairs, and community meetings to build awareness of Grand Living and its services. Partner with local organizations, senior care professionals, and referral networks to generate new business opportunities. Build strong relationships with residents, families, and community partners to enhance occupancy and retention.Client Relationship Management:
Build and nurture relationships with families, caregivers, and healthcare professionals to facilitate the transition of prospective residents into the company’s assisted living facilities.Sales Presentations:
Conduct one-on-one tours, present the company’s services, and provide detailed information about our facilities, care offerings, amenities, and pricing. Tailor presentations to meet the specific needs of prospective clients.Marketing Execution:
Regularly gather and analyze market data to identify trends and new opportunities within assigned territories. Keep the Grand Living's leadership team updated on the competitive landscape and emerging needs in the senior living space. Implement and support marketing strategies to promote community visibility and drive traffic.Collaboration:
Work closely with Executive Directors and other community team members (sales, health and wellness, etc.) to ensure smooth transitions for new residents and support ongoing resident service efforts.Reporting & Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of sales activities, prospects, and client interactions in the company’s CRM (Eldermark) system. Provide regular updates on sales progress and client feedback. Assist with audits and reviews of financial records to ensure accuracy and adherence to policies. Track and analyze sales metrics, providing feedback and recommendations for improvement.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field (preferred) Proven experience in sales, with a focus on senior living, healthcare, or similar industries (a background in healthcare or senior care is a plus). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients, families, and healthcare professionals. A deep understanding of the challenges faced by families when choosing assisted living and senior care options. Previous experience working with CRM systems and sales tracking tools. Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and stay organized while traveling frequently. A passion for providing excellent customer service and helping individuals find the best care for their loved ones.
Other:
The ability to travel up to 100% of the time and not limited to Florida. Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively within a designated region. Based in Florida.
