Traveling Technical Maintenance Trainer - Florida Panhandle

The Waste Pro Technical Maintenance Trainer will train all levels of technicians on the specific requirements of each position. The purpose of this position is to develop a highly skilled and productive team of technicians that exceed safety, productivity and efficiency goals.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

 

In conjunction with the Regional Fleet Manager and Division Fleet Managers identify technician training needs by location and develop a calendar/schedule for training Obtain full working and coaching knowledge of PM inspection process (ALL Levels of PM) Through one on one hands-on mentorship certify each technician in the level of competency for which their position requires -- Safety (LOTO), PMI, Documentation of found work, repair procedures, utilization of shop tools etc. Support Safety, Operations, Maintenance in adhering to and utilizing company policy related to safe, efficient customer service Obtain the latest applicable knowledge of vehicle and equipment maintenance practices as outlined by Waste Pro's fleet management team. Assist in training and supporting ops supervisors in proper equipment operation and following of DVIR inspection requirements

 

OTHER JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Employees in this job classification must attend and participate in corporation sponsored training courses as assigned. Employees in this job classification are responsible for keeping up to date on current technology, as job appropriate, being used by Waste Pro. Any additional job duties that may be assigned by the Supervisor.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

· 5+ years as a technician in the Waste Industry or a combination of 3 years industry experience and 5+ years as a technician in the Medium Duty Truck Maintenance and Repair field.

· 2+ years as a supervisor in Fleet Maintenance in the Waste Industry or as a technical trainer in the Medium Duty Truck Technician field

· CDL License or ability to obtain within 12 months of being appointed to position Minimum of 4 of 7 ASE Medium Duty Technician certifications

· Ability to have all 7 ASE Certifications including Master Tech status within 12 months of hire

· Ability to obtain Mack Certification via online training within 12 months of being promoted to Regional Technical Trainer

· Certifiable as an Air Brake inspector as outlined by DOT 396.25

· Certifiable as a Vehicle Inspector as outlined by DOT 49CFR -- Part 396.19

· Verifiable confirmation of ability to utilize Mack, Cummins, Freightliner, Autocar software as a diagnostic tool

· Ability to utilize Dossier, ADP software as part of position

· Verifiable ability to use Microsoft office products in daily duties

· Provide support of maintenance supervision as may be required from time to time due to staffing, vacation, sick leave etc.

· Provide hands on support in maintenance activities in locations as may be required to improve timeliness of repairs from time to time
