Description:

Job Summary:

\r\n

Responsible for transporting and relocating products from base to established destination(s) and ensuring inventory accuracy.

\r\n

 

\r\n

Essential Functions, Duties and Responsibilities:

\r\n\r\nSafely operates material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks or dollies to move stock or reorganize product.\r\nWork closely with production to ensure product is taken to and from production in a timely manner.\r\nCount, weigh and/or measure incoming or outgoing items to compare identifying information.\r\nResponsible for all products and material within assigned work area – this includes, but not limited to, inventory levels, product location, warehousing and proper product rotation.\r\nInspect forklifts daily to ensure proper and safe operation.\r\nFollow instructions to ascertain raw materials and other materials needed for daily production.\r\nEnsure production personnel obtain needed supplies and materials in a timely manner.\r\n\r\n

Additional Responsibilities:

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

\r\n\r\nSkilled in operating a forklift or other material handling equipment preferred.\r\nStrong Interpersonal, communication and organizational skills\r\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills\r\nAbility to work cross-functionally and within a team based environment\r\nUtilize safe operating skills\r\nFollow all company safety policy/procedure/rule/regulation.\r\nAbility to become PIT Certified required\r\n\r\n

Education and Experience:

\r\n\r\nHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred\r\nPrior forklift operator experiences preferred.\r\nManufacturing and/or Poultry Industry experience a plus\r\n\r\n
