Treasury Accounting & Reporting Manager

We are looking for: 

The Treasury Accounting & Reporting Manager who will define financial policies and to secure the correct, good and compliant financial management of the Group. It also provides both external stakeholders and internal decision-makers with relevant financial data and analyses, with an intention to support sustainable value creation and value retention. 

 

We count on you for: 
This position belongs to Treasury Service Unit and encompasses the following main responsibilities: 
Management 

Manage a team of ~6 Treasury Accounting & Reporting Specialists, SU Lead and Experts, with a worldwide scope, to ensure the required level of service.  Main interface with Corporate Finance (Treasury, Group Accounting, Controlling...), GBUS and Syensqo GBS on Treasury Accounting related issues (IFRS, process optimization, performance...) . Advice the Finance Service Lead and Managers regarding process issues, and to provide training, advice and support to the Finance Service Line and to Corporate Finance and GBU controllers. 

End to end worldwide treasury accounting 

Execution of the periodic treasury accounting process (closing, reconciliation, interests calculation, revaluation...). Manage accounting of Syensqo In-House Bank (loans & borrowings, internal financing, Internal Bank Accounts, POBO & COBO). Contribute to the accounting of Energy Services.  To ensure correctness, timing and application of Group standards for the entire accounting of treasury domain worldwide.  Produce financial reports and statements (including statutory). Ensure consolidation services and disclosures to the IFRS financial statements.

Performance reporting & piloting 

Controlling of Financial results (actual, budget & forecasts) and monitor Treasury performance (FX results, Net indebtedness, Financial cash flows, derivatives...) . Support decisions by providing management reports. Produce dashboards and KPIs.  Prepare treasury & energy hedge documentation. Support to CAMS model (intragroup invoicing of In-House-Bank costs). 

Process ownership & project management 

Provide technical IFRS analysis and accounting schemes (TMS, SAP and Consolidation). Design processes (including valuation and tools) for all treasury and commodity instruments.  Design the process (tools, procedures, standards and rules) the most effective and efficient in compliance with Group accounting rules and lead its deployment worldwide.  Maintain and update the procedures, process documentation and working instructions.  Participate actively to Treasury Management System implementation (FIS Quantum) and drive accounting set-up including accounting interfaces with ERPs. Lead treasury & In-House-Bank workstreams of M&A projects. 

Compliance 

Ensure compliance with local & Group accounting rules.  Implement & follow-up Internal Control. Interface with external auditors.

 

You will bring: 

Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or equivalent (required). Minimum 10 years of experience in Treasury and Accounting.  Excellent understanding of treasury activities (FX, derivatives, money market, interest rates, banking fees, counterparty risk...). Strong knowledge in IFRS (IFRS 9, IAS 32, IAS 21, IAS 23, IFRS 13). Proficient with SAP, BFC and Treasury Management Systems (Quantum). Project & Change Management skills in Finance.  Understand Treasury processes from end-to-end.  Fluent in English. Portuguese, French and/or other languages would be an asset. Strong organizational & analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, and customer service skills.  Written and verbal communication (presentations, documents...).  Ability to manage people transversally in a cross-cultural environment.  Fast Learner mentality.
