Treasury Capital Markets Manager

This position has primary responsibility for managing the company’s liquidity and external funding requirements in the Capital Markets and oversight of the company’s pension plans.  Additional responsibilities include oversight of short-term cash investments, interest rate risk management, stock repurchase programs, quarterly dividend recommendations, banking relationships, credit rating agency relationships, cash flow forecasting and ad hoc analysis. The Capital Markets Manager will lead a team of 3 – 4 FTEs globally.

Please note this is a hybrid role based at our corporate site in Wilmington, DE. Team members work onsite 3 days a week and remote 2 days a week.

Your Key Responsibilities:  

Managing a global team of 3 -4 FTEs

Provide strategic and tactical guidance to the team

Seek development opportunities to broaden skillsets and maintain employee engagement

Be a thought-partner to the team to promote problem solving and process improvement

Financing Plans

Develop financing plans, perform financial analysis on financing structures and make recommendations to the Treasurer and CFO on financing objectives, capital structure and related special projects

Liquidity – Credit Facility and commercial paper

Oversight of the company’s daily liquidity position and requirements for borrowing under the credit facility

Develop strategy for amount and term of borrowings

Manage covenants and collateral requirements

Ensure proper reporting and accounting of short-term borrowings

Long-Term Debt Issuance

Develop strategy and execution plan for long-term debt based on the company’s cash flow needs and financial market conditions

Manage covenants and collateral requirements

Negotiate terms and pricing with the banks

Ensure proper reporting and accounting for long-term borrowings

Develop and execute hedging strategies to manage interest rate risk and debt currency mix

Manage relationships with capital markets banks

Cash Investments

Ensure compliance with Investment Policy and credit limits for financial institutions

Ensure proper reporting and accounting for investments

Stock Repurchase Programs

Develop strategy, structure and execution plan

Negotiate terms and pricing with the banks

Ensure proper reporting and accounting for repurchases

Credit Rating Agency Relationship Support

Lead preparation of materials and participate in annual reviews with credit rating agencies

Provide updates to credit rating agencies as needed

Develop and update credit rating agency financial model

Quarterly Dividend Recommendation and Analysis

Provide quarterly dividend recommendation to CFO with support and analysis for recommendation

Lead annual review of the dividend policy and recommend changes, if appropriate

Cash Flow Forecasting and analysis

Responsible for developing cash flow forecasts

Provide periodic updates of total company cash flow forecast and liquidity to Treasurer

Provide periodic cash flow analysis to the CFO for his/her use with the Board of Directors and investors

Provide in-depth periodic cash flow analysis to IR for their use with investors and one-on-one calls

M&A/Divestitures

Analyze credit rating impact of M&A deals for senior leadership

Develop financing strategies where appropriate

Develop investment strategies for proceeds

Pension Reporting

Oversight of pension reporting including working with third party provider, accounting and HR teams and outside actuaries

Review pension assets, liabilities, funded status, discount rates, settlements, etc. to ensure accurate financial reporting

Other

Responsible for 10Q and 10K disclosures for liquidity, borrowings, investments, interest rate derivatives, stock repurchases and pension

Develop and maintain forecasts for interest income, interest expense and share count

Perform ad hoc Treasury project work

Your Qualification Profile:

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting; MBA, CFA, and/or CPA preferred

Treasury experience required; Controllership experience strongly preferred

8+ years of experience working in a similar role

Prior experience managing people

Strong leadership and networking skills across cross-functional teams

Strong financial analysis skills, including financial modeling

Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills with all levels internally and externally

Demonstrated ability to work independently and think creatively

Demonstrated ability to work under time pressures and to manage and prioritize multiple activities

Demonstrated expertise in Excel and PowerPoint

Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure

Ethical, with a high level of integrity and professionalism
