The Treasury Management Sales Director has full responsibility for the Treasury Management Sales (TMS) team, partners with the local markets, and directs companywide sales efforts to achieve maximum revenue growth and a profitable return on investment. The Sales Director plans, manages and leads sales activities to accomplish overall integrated business objectives, optimize resources, and meet both near term and strategic growth requirements.
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Formulate overall sales strategy and plans by teaming with the regions/segments to assess potential based on market share and competitive position, customer expansion and prospect opportunities, segment information, regional objectives and resources.
+ Determine realistic sales goals, objectives and key metrics to achieve optimum market growth.
+ Achieve sales goals and objectives through market alignment, results feedback, activity monitoring, communication and resource allocation.
+ Effectively collaborate and partner with Market Presidents, Regional Executives and other key managers across the franchise.
+ Coordinate with cross-functional resources (i.e. product management, implementations, customer support, operations, training, marketing, etc.) to ensure competitive client solutions and consistent quality service delivery and support in all markets.
+ Develop long-range (three year) strategic plans for sales growth – i.e. identify industry or niche focuses, implement multiple sales channels, and develop productive support models.
+ Effectively manage the sales process through sales meetings, pipeline management and production reporting, regular feedback to markets, direct reports, coaching and assistance with individual or market sales plans.
+ Assist the sales leaders with opportunity development and relationship management to include joint calling (as appropriate), product structuring, pricing, negotiation and closing of sale.
+ Provide market guidance on pricing strategy, approve exception pricing and develop and manage the department’s budget.
+ Conduct HR functions to include hiring, annual reviews, performance and compensation management, and other job actions.
+ Ensure quality TMS hires and retain top sales talent and performance is appropriately monitored and rewarded.
+ Maintain relationships with high-value key accounts, industry, and trade associations to enhance overall effectiveness and visibility of the sales group.
+ Develop policies and strategies to manage the infrastructure or expenses associated with the TMS business – i.e. identify productivity lift and expense reduction opportunities achieved with sales support tools or automated processes.
**SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES**
Directly responsible for directing, coordinating, and evaluating designated units or certain personnel in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; providing pay change recommendations; disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.
+ A bachelor degree in business, finance, or related disciplines and/or an MBA – a CCM or CTP certification required.
+ 20 plus years treasury management experience in financial services industry, preferably corporate payments related.
+ 10 plus years line sales management responsibility.
+ Experience developing and leading a sophisticated treasury management sales division, ideally in an organization with a geographically-dispersed distribution system.
+ Thorough knowledge of state-of-the-art developments in financial services payment systems and working capital management processes.
+ Well-developed written communications and presentation skills that facilitate and enhance interaction with a vast range of people from highly technical experts to senior management.
+ Ability to act as the company’s expert in the field, promoting working capital solutions to ensure the Bank’s leadership position continues to expand in its industry.
