Treasury Risk and Compliance Manager

To learn more about CIBC, please visit CIBC.com (https://www.cibc.com/en/about-cibc.html) **Responsibilities:** + Support and manage enterprise-wide risk management initiatives and upcoming milestones related to enhancing governance documentations of risk metrics including monitoring and breach escalation process, policy and metric limit review, and approval process. + Maintain on-going risk management requirements for corporate treasury: annual or off-cycle treasury policies reviews and approval process; treasury’s RAS and non-RAS risk metric review and approval process; and metrics monitoring and controlling including breach escalation process. + Serve as a primary advisor for corporate treasury related regulations, compliance, risk management requirements, and audits + Develop, implement, and manage the compliance and regulatory requirements for corporate treasury + Review laws, regulations, proposed changes, and changing examiner interpretations in order to anticipate and identify future compliance needs, opportunities, and potential solutions impacting corporate treasury functions. Engage appropriate treasury team members and lead the team through implementation processes. + Coordinate, manage, and respond to internal audit reviews, compliance testing and assessments, and external regulatory exams and inquiries, and manage any remediation actions necessary for corporate treasury + Perform and maintain a periodic compliance risk assessment program to include an inventory of risks and controls for all corporate treasury areas + Assist with updating and maintaining changes in bank regulations to reflect in corporate treasury policies and procedures, including assessing for current and new regulatory requirements, and implementing/remediating gaps in existing policies and procedures + Perform ongoing monitoring and assessment of treasury activities and service level agreements in accordance with Regulation W restrictions on transactions with affiliates **Knowledge and Skills:** + 5+ years of compliance/regulatory experience in bank corporate treasury + Testing and monitoring for regulatory requirements is preferred + Bachelor’s degree required + Law degree or compliance/audit training is a plus + Strong knowledge of enterprise-wide risk management framework including risk metrics, policies, and procedures + Advanced knowledge of banking regulations applicable to corporate treasury functions and direct hands-on knowledge of corporate treasury activities such as funding and liquidity, interest rate risk and hedging management, asset and liability management, and investment portfolios + Experience in monitoring banking transactions in accordance with Regulation W, Regulation YY, and related FDIC/FRB reporting requirements + Experience with bank examinations and a familiarity with the Board of Governors FBO Examination Manual + In-depth knowledge of general state and federal banking regulations that apply to a US subsidiary of a foreign bank + Strong organizational skills, ability to write and speak articulately and concisely. + Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks at the same time with focus on priorities in a changing environment + FRM or CPA designation plus but not required **Risk & Compliance:** Our CIBC risk culture is based on employees striving to exceed the expectations of ourselves and our leadership’s identification and mitigation of risks in their daily responsibilities, not just in quarterly or annual monitoring/assessments.
