SWBC is seeking a talented individual to perform monthly reconciliation of corporate bank and general ledger accounts. This position is responsible for account reconciliation, ensuring accurate data, identifying and implementing process improvement opportunities, and reporting status updates. This individual will have the opportunity to perform related research and adjustments, provide a creative and analytic approach thinking for streamlining processes; and contribute to other Treasury functions.

Essential duties include the following:
Gathers incoming check deposits, scans to banks and applies payments to ERP System.Processes voided and stopped checks in addition to reviewing positive pay items and verifying payment.Process daily ACH activity and send files to the bank.Assist with special projects as needed.Research outstanding items with checks, ACH payments, and/or bank reconciliations and make adjusting journal entry or request bank transfer where appropriate.Assists, tests and implements in projects to improve and streamline processes within the department.Tracks outstanding checks, communicates status to preparing departments, coordinates clearing checks from the outstanding list, and as necessary, transfers them to the escheatment reports.Imports bank account activity from various banks for reconciliation purposes.Imports general ledger activity from multiple systems to perform reconciliation.Attends training sessions and works closely with Treasury management to learn other Treasury functions as needed.Reconciles numerous SWBC cash and escrow payable bank and general ledger accounts utilizing either an automated reconciliation program or excel.Assists in the preparation of journal entries for month end close.Performs daily sweep activity from customer accounts.Prepares cash position forecasts for over 40 accounts, including revenue, expenses, and loan estimates on a daily basis.Reviews, prepares and processes monthly intercompany transactions.Analyzes and processes daily transfers between multiple bank and investment accounts.Serious candidates will possess the minimum qualifications:
Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Banking, or related field from an accredited college or university required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.Minimum of one (1) year of experience in banking, treasury, Automated Clearing House (ACH), general ledger, account reconciliation, or related experience.Working knowledge of general accounting principles, strong knowledge of reconciliations, and journal entries. Able to accurately use 10-key by touch and type 50 wpm.Working knowledge of personal computers to include the internet,Working Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.Strong analytical skills, attention to details, and ability to multitask.Able to lift 10-20 lbs. of accounting reports, files, and other documents.Able to sit for long periods of time gathering, updating, and validating accounting transactions.Able to stoop, kneel, and stand to retrieve files.Able to travel locally or nationally by car or plane.SWBC offers*:
