Treasury Specialist - Vendor Compliance

Job Summary

The Treasury Specialist - Vendor Management is responsible for the execution of daily Vendor Setup operations of Asia.  The incumbent is accountable for ensuring the integrity of internal control through the application of the firm’s defined Vendor Setup procedures. This position has a significant customer service focus, with the incumbent participating in the maintenance and delivery of defined Vendor Setup standards.

Role and Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the Finance Technical Lead, this role is primarily responsible for supporting Vendor Setup operations for Asia jurisdiction.

Responsibilities include the following:

Operational Support

Proficient knowledge in the requirements of New and Change vendor requests as well as the Standard Operating Procedures in setting up vendors in LawsonOwnership of setting-up of New Vendors and updating vendor details in Lawson AP boxAble to communicate results of review to requestors and different business units effectivelyHandle Business Unit and requestors’ inquiry with minimal assistanceConsistently meet every day SLA without escalationsSupports ad hoc tasks on top of production and the same time meeting deadlinesProficient in setting up all types of vendors on specific vendor group assignment, i.e. NAMER, AsiaTimely and effective delivery of KPI, business dashboards and other metrics as required by management as well as the Business Unit.

Customer Service:

Respond timely and accurately to all queries regarding Vendor Setup OperationsSupport ad-hoc analysis to identify root cause of production problems and develop timely solutionsCommunicate on a timely manner any issues or challenges to Business Unit contacts

Project Management:

Support the MBPS Treasury Automation team in the deployment of various initiatives in production which aims to streamline current processes to deliver efficiency savings for the OrganizationWill act as the Business Analyst (BA) for all Projects handled by MBPS Treasury Automation team related to Vendor Setup OperationsWill support the deployment of VSMART in Asia jurisdictionsIdentify process improvements and lead the execution in production

Reporting:

Assist the Finance Technical Lead in the monitoring of KPI reports (SLA and Accuracy)Own the sending of MBPS VMT Operational DashboardParticipates in the monthly governance call to discuss Team’s Operational results

Qualifications

University degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business-related courses.Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) or CPA designation (not required but an advantage).Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in Accounting and/or Treasury Operations.Experience in Vendor Master Data Operations is requiredExperience in leading / supporting execution of Projects in a shared-service settingExperience in working in a broad Matrix organization listening and using influence to make an impact.Ability to work in ambiguous environment and adapt to change while managing time and workload with aggressive timelines.Experience in working across multiple geographies and time zones.Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively across cultures, geographies and senior leadership.Excellent analytical and technical skills.Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.Innovative thinker with the ability to negotiate, influence and challenge the status quo to continuously improve processes.Ability to anticipate issues and think proactively to resolve issues and risk.Familiarity with project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecyclePresents complex ideas clearly, with an ability to manage the complexities of executing significant change and influence individuals across business boundaries to achieve objectives.Understanding of Lawson or general finance systems / applications available in the market.Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of Excel (i.e. mastery of excel formulas and pivot tables is a must; VBA is a plus).  Proficient in MS Office suite including Outlook, Word, Power Point, and Project.Overtime may be required to meet business deadlines.
