In this newly created role, we are seeking an enthusiastic triage manager to work with our blue-chip clients.  

The role is a cross over between administration support and first line analysis and reporting of claims into the law firm. You will work closely with the Partners and Associates of the firm to ensure the smooth allocation of work.

Our legal team is led from our Bristol offices, with colleagues in Cardiff, Leeds, Coventry and across the country.

The Team

We are a litigation focused law firm working within the one of the world’s largest adjuster and claims solution provider. We advise and handle disputes for major insurers, Lloyds syndicates, large corporates, utilities, and local authorities.

Our core products are recovery litigation, liability, coverage, fraud and cyber work. We are about 30 colleagues, with strong growth projections and an award winning market proposition. We have grown from 7 colleagues in 2022.

As part of the team you will:

Client Interaction: Serve as the first point of contact for all preliminary enquiries – monitoring inboxes and case management systems.

Work Allocation: Direct work to correct sources following internal procedures and guidance. Assign work within the firm and begin the preliminary set up – while liaising with team leaders.

Contract Management: Accurately create internal contracts to reflect clients’ instructions and any change in work allocations.

Reporting: Report to the management group on volumes, costs, and speeds.

Analysis: Conduct missed operations and statistical analysis of instruction sources and frequencies.

Team Support: Enable existing team leaders to focus on proactive case management and client delivery. Monitor critical inboxes and client communication lines.

Autonomy with Support: Work independently while benefiting from the guidance and supervision of leading practitioners.

Dynamic Environment: Thrive in a fast-paced setting, making important, time-sensitive decisions.

Collaborative Culture: Collaborate closely within the team, across Sedgwick, and with clients.

Compliance: Ensure adherence to client service level agreements, policies, and procedures.

Group Assistance: Assist the wider Sedgwick group.

What are we looking for?

Able to demonstrate flexibility in approach and working hours, with the requirement to work in our Bristol office three days a week.

Ability to work to deadlines / targets, to prioritise and manage a caseload and to work under pressure to deliver effective solutions

Ability to work well as part of a team and on your own initiative

A commercial, solution-driven and client-focused approach

Strong legal and analytical skills and an eye for detail

Excellent organisation and time-management skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a positive attitude

Excellent IT skills

Excellent teamwork skills
