Triage Nurse - ogi | Obstetrics, Gynecology & Infertility

The Triage Nurse provides healthcare information, education, recommendations, and general nursing care to obstetric, infertility, and gynecologic patients in the clinic setting.  Interacts with patients, physicians, nurse practitioners, clinic staff, and non-OBYGN clinic personnel by phone, email, fax, and in person.

This is a part-time (0.8), benefits eligible position, working 32 hours per week. The Triage Nurse will travel to our Maple Grove and Edina locations based on clinic needs.

ogi |Obstetrics, Gynecology & Infertility is an operating division of Infinite Health Collaborative (i-Health), a group of local medical practices, owned and led by its physicians, on a mission to give patients more control over their healthcare.

Essential Functions:

Triage incoming calls, route calls to providers per protocols or as deemed appropriate Review and communicate provider responses with patients Route results to providers per protocol   Review and communicate with patients on labs and other tests per protocols and/or provider responses Follow up on abnormal Pap smears, mammograms, ultrasounds Manage prescription refills, prior authorizations Assist OB patients with MAC/Perinatology appointments as needed Interact with Home Healthcare, Out-patient hospital services, other non-OGA healthcare providers/clinics per provider orders STD notification to Minnesota Department of Health Provide general resource information for providers and other clinic departments as requested Review and update existing triage protocols and write new triage protocols as needed Screen post 20-week OB transfer calls Follow up on OB patients that have not been seen for two or more months PHQ-9 calls Documentation of all patient interactions/calls External monitoring NST Foley catheter removal and insertion as needed Any and all other duties as assigned

Education and Experience Requirements:

RN: Diploma graduate from an accredited school of nursing; Bachelor's Degree (BSN) or Associate's Degree (ADN) in nursing from an accredited college; current or pending reciprocity, Minnesota State Board of Nursing license. Previous OB and/or GYN experience, Nursing triage experience preferred
