Weatherford have a great opportunity for experienced TRS Maintenance Supervisors to join the team in Luanda, Angola on a 28/28 Rotation.
The TRS (Tubular Running Services) Maintenance Supervisor will provide management and coordination of all workshop activities including pre-job equipment preparation and post-job equipment repair and maintenance Product Line to meet customer requirements, company requirements and legislative and statutory requirements by ensuring the following:
Workshop is resourced and operated safely, efficiently and cost effectively. Equipment is maintained and repaired so that operational requirements are met. Rental assets and inventory are controlled by the correct use of JD Edwards and in accordance with the processes controlled by the Materials and Logistics Departments.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordination of all work for the TRS Maintenance Department to meet operational requirements. Assist when necessary, cleaning and inspection of all equipment on return to workshop and subsequent planning of all repair work. Assist with necessary, the painting etc, of equipment assigned to repair / maintenance. The thorough testing of equipment before it is released to operations for operational work according to function test programmes as specified by operations manager. To ensure all relevant safety facilities are operable and maintained and that maintenance Personnel are making use of all such facilities. To identify means of improving efficiency within the maintenance department and assist management in their efforts to implement more efficient work methods. Responsible for training and development of direct reports. Participate in the recruitment process to ensure only personnel who meet the pre-defined criteria are employed. Be a mentor to team members – lead by example. Set and manage performance targets of direct reports. Ensure that company policies and procedures are carried out throughout the team. To undertake maintenance functions in an efficient and cost-effective manner. To participate in and to meet the objectives and training. To assist other departments in meeting their goals and objectives and to maintain a constant and effective level of communication with internal and external customers. Responsible for QHSE within the area of accountability ensuring all personnel and contractors carry out work in safe manner using all recommended protective equipment. Any other delegated responsibilities as instructed by Line Management within the timeframe specified in a safe and efficient manner to meet business requirements, provided the instruction is reasonable and you are capable and deemed competent to fulfil these. Manage all procedures to ensure minimum standards are adhered too in line with product lines direction. Ensure that job packages are completed fully and signed off prior to mobilisation.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar preferred but would consider candidates with the correct level of TRS maintenance experience. Good organisational skills. TRS supervisory experience. Should have a mechanical/hydraulic/electronic background. Experience in PLC (program logic control) or similar. Must be fluent in English - written and spoken. Good communication skills – written, verbal and listening. Ability to be proactive. Ability to work as part of a team towards achieving shared objectives. Ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritise workload. Adaptable and Flexible to accommodate operational requirements. Able to work under time constraints and meet deadlines in a professional manner. Capable of using own initiative and working at times unsupervised. Ability to work as part of a team towards achieving shared objectives. Computer Literate – good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.PREFERRED:
JD Edwards database knowledge. Managing poor work performance in the workshop. Presentation skills. Customs knowledge. Experienced in communication with installation and client management. Knowledge of one or more Weatherford product lines. Demonstrate basic knowledge of oilfield equipment.
