American Iron and Metal, (AIM) is a growth-oriented Metal Recycling and processing company located in Saint John, NB. We are currently recruiting for an experienced Full-time Truck and Trailer Mechanic to join our team.

We are looking for someone who is a motivated, tenacious, eager to learn and take on a challenge.

Profile

Reporting to the Foreman, the Truck and Trailer Mechanic will work on electrical, hydraulics, brakes & suspension. This position will expose the candidate to a wide variety of interesting service & repair tasks.

Responsibilities

Service modern equipment including material handlers, loaders, bobcats, forklifts, manlifts, shuttle wagon, etc.Perform preventative maintenance as per service scheduleKeep the workplace clean and organizedPerform any other related duties.

Qualifications

 

3-5 years’ experienceRespect of health safety measuresCapacity to perform physical workExperience working with Heavy Equipment vehicles will be considered an assetExperience with Hydraulics is an assetExperience in welding is an assetAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedures manuals;
