Job Overview:

Deliver natural and conventional groceries and merchandise to various independent retailers. 

 Job Responsibilities: 

Ensure compliance with company procedures as outlined in UNFI Drivers’ Handbook and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (DOT). Perform required vehicle safety inspections before, during and after dispatch. Comply with federal hours of service requirements. Correctly execute daily log and trip report. Immediately report all accidents involving company equipment to appropriate manager. Comply with Federal and State mandated traffic laws and established company safety procedures. Maintain basic familiarity and compliance with FMCS regulations. Maintain schedule of deliveries per dispatch instructions.

Job Requirements:

Valid Class A CDL license. Minimum of 1 year tractor trailer driving experience Clean driver record. Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays. Good customer service skills. Ability to sit for long periods of time. Ability to lift cases weighing up to 90 pounds in the event of a customer assist delivery. Good judgment is required for this position as there may be times when direct supervision may not be immediately available.

UNFI anticipates paying the above-referenced pay rate (or within the above-referenced pay range) for this position. Actual Pay, where applicable, will depend on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, education, experience, training, and any requirements under applicable collective bargaining agreements. Sales Positions Only: For sales positions that are commission-based, the above range is an estimate of total potential commission-based compensation during an associate’s first year, but UNFI offers an introductory period minimum of $680 per week. After the introductory period, as a 100% commission-based role, there is no set salary. UNFI’s commission plans are uncapped and average earnings vary depending on territory and sales achieved, among other factors.
