Under the direction of the Production Coordinator, Transportation Manager or Production Manager, the driver picks up and delivers shell and tube heat exchangers, parts and components from Customers, shop, and/or vendor’s customers.

Major Duties:

Performs all truck deliveries possible with the plant vehicles. Maintains acceptable driving record. Records and maintains an accurate log of miles driven daily. Performs maintenance and minor repairs to vehicles. Report and follow up on major repairs. Makes daily inspections to insure vehicles are serviceable at all times. Maintains driving and parking areas for trucks and employees. Performs production work when necessary. Assists as directed by the Production Manager. Performs assigned tasks in a safe manner, avoiding all unsafe practices. Aid crane operator by visual and vocal signals when parts are being moved. Assist in shipping and receiving material. Various record-keeping duties. All of the above duties can be performed with limits on occasional 10 pound lifting, two hour standing, and sitting balance of time.

 

Qualifications:

Knowledge - High School Diploma or equivalent

Skills - Read and write English language, maintain Class A CDL license for truck use. Maintain a current TWIC card, meet DOT requirements (physical and drug screen), and be able to work rotating shifts.

Working Conditions - Cold, hot, dusty, dirty, noisy, requires a 50 lb. lifting ability, must be able to bend, lift, push/pull, climb, squat, crawl and reach overhead, exposed to normal shop hazards.
