Together for better. **About the Role:** In this roleunder general direction, a Trust Relationship Specialist will work with senior lead officers to manage larger trust relationships. They will provide administrative and clerical support to design and complete tasks, projects, and related activities for executives, administrators, or managers in order to meet the goals and objectives of the Trust Company. + Ensure that all required paperwork is completed for new account set-up and forms are in files. + Enter new account into the trust accounting system. + Review all required paperwork and confirm all appropriate information is deleted from the computer system. + Attend and prepare for routine client meetings on team-managed accounts. + Assist Trust Relationship Managers in preparing for sensitive client meetings. + Execute communication plan agreed to by Trust Relationship Managers, including timely and accurate correspondence with clients as necessary for administration of their account. + Assume responsibility for routine fiduciary duties connected with an account when a client dies. + Take direction from Trust Relationship Managers on complex administrative matters. + Perform annual accountings for court on conservatorship and estate accounts. + Obtain the written authorizations and directions necessary for distributions. + Annually review team-assigned accounts and assist the account administrator with other assigned investment and administrative reviews by preparing and copying documents. + Maintain all trust customer filings as instructed by the Trust Relationship Manager. + Maintain and organize files and coordinate the shipment of transfer and closedaccount files to storage archives. + Take lead on trust seminars by performing a variety of duties, including preparing fliers, building informational packets, and serving as host/hostess. + Perform miscellaneous assignments as needed, including delivery of documents, typing, and data entry. + Anticipate the needs of Trust Relationship Managers and prepare preliminary work on various future projects. + Accompany Trust Relationship Managers on client calls as needed Initiate proactive client outreach relationship servicing calls. + Order company supplies and keep costs down where possible. + Sort and distribute daily external and interoffice mail. + Create graphs and charts for presentations to existing and prospective clients. + Assists with the management of the trust pipeline. + Demonstrates compliance with all bank regulations for assigned job function and applies to designated job responsibilities – knowledge may be gained through coursework and on-the-job training. Keeps up to date on regulation changes. + Follows all Bank policies and procedures, compliance regulations, and completes all required annual or job-specific training. + Maintain a working knowledge of Bank's written policies and procedures regarding Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security and other regulations as applicable to this job description. + May be asked to coach, mentor, or train others and teach coursework as subject matter expert. + Actively learns, demonstrates, and fosters the Umpqua corporate culture in all actions and words. + Takes personal initiative and is a positive example for others to emulate. + Embraces our vision to become “Business Bank of Choice”. **About** **You:** + College degree in business administration Preferred ABA (or other) trust courses, preferred. + 1 year trust experience, preferred. + Ability to operate various office equipment, including personal computers, printers, fax machine, 10-key adding machines, multi-linetelephones, and copy machines. + Spreadsheet and word processing skills, including the ability to create graphs, use Excel formulas, and make PowerPoint presentations for trust sales opportunities and seminars. + Good understanding of departmental or company goals and objectives and how they relate to the rest of the company and its business operations. + Effective time management and organizational skills. + Effective interpersonal skills to relate to a variety of upper-level managers, executives, directors, customers, and employees. + Public relations skills, including tact, diplomacy, and patience. + Ability to manage confidential information. + Ability to work on several projects simultaneously and with a variety of employees, managers, and executives. + Ability to work under pressure with constant interruptions + ABA (or other) trust courses. **Job Location(s):** Ability to work fully onsite at posted location(s).
