Production Manager

Your role and responsibilities

Job Description:•\tFunctions as a member of an area team that is directly responsible for efficient productions of quality products in the required quantities. •\tLoad and prep stators for the TTX oven process.•\tUnload and burnish the stators after the TTX process and distribute to carts as needed by area/department.•\tWill be required to learn and assist with other jobs within the Stator department, such as shove, box, and expedite.•\tMonitor control panel and change out varnish trays and other various tasks.•\tRead and comprehending diagrams. •\tRequires basic computer skills and ability to use/learn Shop Floor Display system. •\tRequires an understanding of flex flow and day and rank system and able to comprehend all written instructions. •\tAbility to do defect free work and meet minimum production guidelines for the area. •\tCommunicate with other operators or supervisors to discuss any part or equipment defects. Identify and order appropriate supplies, parts, and tools as needed. •\tThis job requires strong communication, interpersonal and team building skills to support site objectives. Production operators will be trained to perform task/jobs in other areas of production. •\t Place safety in the workplace above all else and follow safety guidelines along with reporting safety issues.•\t Daily housekeeping.•\t Work overtime as needed. •\tOther duties as assigned.

Qualifications for the role

Education and Experience Needed:\tHS Diploma or equivalent required.\t1 Yr of Industrial type experience or military service or in lieu of industrial experience will consider vocational/ technical high school and technical college courses or 3 months previous motor manufacturing experience. \tPrevious motor experience preferred. \tMust pass a drug screen and background check.\tCandidates must have a work authorization that would permit them to work in the United States\tABB’s first priority is the safety of our employees. To ensure a safe workplace, the ability to read, speak and write English proficiently is an essential function of all roles.\tRegular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this rule.\tWorking overtime is an essential function of this role.Physical Demands:\tRequires repetitive lifting, reaching, pulling, grabbing, bending, pushing and twisting motions.\tAble to push buggies with parts/motors using 80 lbs. of initial force to move it, with 25 lbs. of sustained force to keep it moving.\tOperator will constantly grip various sizes of hot components.\tLift 35 lbs. consistently.\tWork well with others.\tUnderstand and use all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). \tOperator will constantly use fine finger manipulation to accomplish tasks.\tAble to work 40hrs a week and required overtime and weekends when needed.\tAbility to think independently while successfully functioning in a team environment.\tAble to perform task in a manufacturing environment.\tStanding on concrete floor.
