Compensation Overview

The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.

What Is the Opportunity?Travelers is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technology Consulting Engineer to join our IT Infrastructure team. This role will focus on supporting and optimizing our Intelligent Capture infrastructure, specifically Kofax Total Agility (KTA). The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of KTA infrastructure, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure the stability, performance, and scalability of our Intelligent Capture environment.What Will You Do?Develops tactics and operational plans in alignment with strategic objectives for assigned technologies and projects.Drives the execution of departmental and corporate programs.Leverages infrastructure technology to develop and/or redesign technology solutions.Builds, leverages, and maintains effective alliances across technical and business community.Interacts with customers to achieve efficient, effective results.Multi-tasks, prioritizes according to business priorities and production availability requirements.Seen as a technical expert within service delivery organization (SDO) and consults across SDOs.Infrastructure Management: Oversee the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of the Kofax Total Agility platform, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.System Monitoring: Implement and manage monitoring tools to proactively identify and resolve issues within the KTA infrastructure.Performance Optimization: Analyze system performance metrics and make recommendations for improvements to enhance the efficiency and scalability of the KTA platform.Troubleshooting: Provide advanced troubleshooting and technical support for complex issues related to the KTA infrastructure, working closely with other IT teams and vendors as needed.Security: Ensure the KTA infrastructure adheres to security best practices and compliance requirements, implementing necessary security measures and conducting regular audits.Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of the KTA infrastructure, including configurations, processes, and procedures.Collaboration: Work closely with application development, network, and security teams to support the integration and deployment of new solutions and updates within the KTA environment.Project Management: Lead and participate in infrastructure projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business objectives.Training and Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and other team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.Perform other duties as assigned.What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?Seven years of experience in Technology preferred.Two years of experience as a technical lead preferred.Advanced knowledge of infrastructure management technologies such as Network, Database, Server, Storage etc. preferred

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in managing and optimizing Kofax Total Agility infrastructure.Strong knowledge of server, storage, and network technologies.Experience with virtualization and cloud technologies.Familiarity with monitoring and performance tuning tools.Understanding of security best practices and compliance requirements.

Kofax Total Agility Expertise:

Knowledgeable in installing, upgrading, and maintaining Kofax Total Agility.Experience performing upgrades and migrations to new Kofax Total Agility infrastructure.Experience staging new KTA systems on new platforms.Experience supporting developers to configure and troubleshoot.Worked with Kofax support to submit issues, gather logs, and implement fixes/workarounds to existing problems.

Infrastructure/Troubleshooting & Root Cause Analysis:Deep knowledge of Kofax Total Agility architecture.Experience with client-side scanning and indexing Kofax clients (including Kofax Express, Kofax Workspace Validation and Scan web-client, Personal and High-Speed Scanners).Ability to quickly analyze root causes (Diagnose: connectivity, security, server infrastructure, network, load balancer, SSL, OKTA, LDAP sync).Several years of experience in engineering/production support for Windows, Active Directory, and enabling high availability within KTA (underlying infrastructure & configurations).Proficient in Microsoft SQL.

Kofax Insights:Knowledgeable in installing, upgrading, and maintaining Kofax Insights.Experience with KAFTA and Insights - customer solutions, test harness.Development skills in Kofax and C#.

Soft Skills:Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Project management skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

What is a Must Have?A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or its equivalent in work experience, plus five years of experience in Technology required;Alternatively, a Master's degree in CS or a related field and three years of work experience in Technology
