ResponsibilitiesIn this part-time position, you would be a part of an educational team consisting of a supervisor and fellow educators working with a diverse population of students. This team works with the Victorville Valley Union High School District to deliver the highest-quality education services in reading and mathematics to students in a small group learning environment.
Responsibilities such as collaborating with the school administrators and classroom teachers, planning and delivering effective instruction in a small group setting, administering pre and post assessments, consistent tracking of student progress and data are essential to the position. Effective classroom management, providing a safe and positive learning environment are also key responsibilities.
*This position will be delivering tutoring services in-person on site at Silverado High School in Victorville, CA. Tutoring may occur during the school day or after school.
Pay: $30/hour for non-certified teacher, $38/hour for certified teacher
Qualifications Teaching/Tutoring experience requiredMust be comfortable tutoring high school math and/or english language arts.Computer proficiency requiredAbility to provide a high level of customer service to principals, classroom teachers, and parentsMust be able to lift 30 poundsWork location is in personFrequent standing and ability to raise arms above the headHand dexterity for typing and entering data into a computer
